Celeste Hockings is an Aquatic Ecologist with the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Water Resources Department. She is also a member of the Oglala Lakota tribe, though she grew up on the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians reservation. In 2008 Hockings graduated from the Conserve School, an environmentally focused high school. She pursued a wildlife ecology major at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and graduated in the spring of 2014.
