Joe Pater is the Director of the Office of Energy Innovation at the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. He started work in the energy efficiency industry in 2009 working as a project manager for Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corp implementing lighting and appliance programs. He then went to work for a lighting manufacturer, supporting their utility rebate efforts which eventually evolved into him starting and leading a company which specializes in data and analytics for utility incentive programs. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maine, Orono and a BA in Communications from Monmouth College Illinois. He lives in Sun Prairie with his wife and 6 kids and is passionate about Wisconsin’s clean energy future.
