Katie Vaughn is the Interim Editor for Wisconsin People & Ideas magazine. A freelance writer and editor, Katie grew up in the Madison area and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with degrees in journalism and art history before earning her master's in journalism at Stanford. Katie served as the managing editor and arts editor of Madison Magazine for nine years, helped launch Letters & Science magazine at UW–Madison's liberal arts college, wrote a travel book about Madison and created Northerly, an online magazine celebrating family life in Wisconsin. Katie is passionate about travel, art and spending time with her family, especially her husband, two kids and a new puppy.
