Nikita Werner was the Operations Manager at the Wisconsin Academy. After graduating from UW-Madison with a BA in Anthropology, Nikita worked in a number of administrative roles including as a department coordinator at the Wisconsin Medical Society. She earned a MS in Anthropology and Museum Studies from UW-Milwaukee where she focused her research on the archaeology of childhood. Her museum experience has been concentrated around collection management in the areas of natural history, archaeology, zoology, and anthropology. Nikita is passionate about lifelong and informal learning. During her time with Wisconsin Academy she contributed administrative and operational support across program areas and lead efforts to make the Academy a place for diverse voices and perspectives to come together in ways that are inclusive, equitable, and just.
