Nyra Jordan is an impact investor and social justice activist that is dedicated to elevating the voices of community changemakers. Nyra is one of the founding directors of the American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact, a Madison, WI based innovation hub founded in 2018 that leverages venture capital investment and transformative public and private partnerships to address major challenges facing the US. As community and social impact investment director, Nyra invests in high impact social entrepreneurs, startups, and strategic partnerships. In addition, she oversees efforts to form collaborations that increase access to opportunity, social equity, and financial mobility including support for individuals impacted by the criminal and civil legal system. She is co-creating a coalition with partners across the country to bring funding to underrepresented founders by convening entrepreneurs and investors within the justice tech sector. Nyra is a TED speaker and her efforts to support fair chance employment and capital access to underrepresented founders have been featured in major publications.
