Space and Place
Space and Place features a conversation between visual artists Martha Glowacki (Madison) and Carol Emmons (Green Bay), whose work is currently on view as part of the Charles Allis Museums' centenary celebration. The director of the Wisconsin Academy's James Watrous Gallery, Martha Glowacki is also a sculptor who explores the human understanding of the natural world through two areas of inquiry: the history of science and scientific illustration. Carol Emmons is an internationally acclaimed installation artist specializing in large-scale, site-specific works. She is currently Frankenthal Professor in the Arts and Visual Design at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Presented in partnership with the Charles Allis Museum, this Academy Evenings conversation is free and open to the public.
