Annual Fellows Event

Every year we come together to celebrate the election of five new Wisconsin Academy Fellows, Wisconsintes with extraordinary levels of accomplishment in their fields as well as a lifelong commitment to intellectual discourse and public service. These distinguished individuals from a wide range of disciplines help us shape our programs and projects. Fellowship represents the highest level of recognition conferred by the Wisconsin Academy.

At this year's event—held on November 6th at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison—we were pleased to host seven (two more than usual) extraordinary Wisconsinites:

  • Steven Ackerman
  • Robert H. Dott, Jr.
  • Judith Faulkner
  • Maury Laws
  • Donald A. Nichols
  • JoAnna Poehlmann
  • Jeremi Suri

We celebrated the lives and works of these Fellows and heard from each of them about their contributions to their communities and state.
