Liza P. Burkin is a former intern for
Wisconsin People & Ideas and a junior at University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Originally from Sudbury, MA, Burkin is also the editor-in-chief for
Emmie Magazine, the student-run campus music magazine.
TJ LAMBERT
TJ Lambert is a freelance photographer with an international client list that ranges from bands to brides to businesses and such organizations as the Milwaukee Police Association. At the age of nine, she saw a photograph of the 1981 assassination attempt of Pope John Paul II in
Time Magazine that changed her life. Lambert realized that photographers were bestowed a privilege of being able to convey powerful messages without the limitation of text. Eighteen years later, she established Stages Photography in Milwaukee. Her work can be seen at

NIK HAWKINS
Nik Hawkins is assistant director for communications at the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) at UW-Madison. He and his colleagues aim to inform and improve postsecondary education policy, research, and practice through the creation and exchange of knowledge via research, publications, and public programs. Outside of work, Nik is a fledgling husband, avid runner, voracious reader, and occasional writer.
ALLAN COLLINS AND RICHARD HALVERSON
Allan Collins and Richard Halverson are the authors of
Rethinking Education in the Age of Technology: The Digital Revolution and Schooling in America. Collins is the former co-director of the U.S. Department of Education's Center for Technology in Education. Halverson is an associate professor of educational leadership and policy analysis at UW-Madison, where he is co-founder of the Games, Learning, and Society Group.
