Christie Taylor: Fiction & poetry contest live winners' reading

Thursday, October 15, 2020 - 10:00am to 10:30am

Christie Taylor reads her award-winning poems from the Wisconsin People & Ideas Poetry Contest.

Christie Taylor (2013 poetry contest winner, 2010 poetry contest runner-up) is a producer and science communicator for the public radio show Science Friday, where on top of scientists, she sometimes also interviews poets, authors, and the occasional Mars rover. A former roller derby player, sometimes powerlifter, and frequent bike commuter, she is often a little sweaty. Her hometowns include Madison, and any city that touches a Great Lake. But these days you can find her in Brooklyn, New York, still trying to find more time to write poems.

This Facebook Live reading series is part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters and our Wisconsin People & Ideas magazine.
