Wisconsin Libraries: Past, Present, and Future
Libraries play a central role in establishing and informing communities. Celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of Mead Library with an engaging talk by Laura Sauser and Nyama Reed from the Wisconsin Library Association, hosted by the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters.
Hear about the pivotal role libraries have played in Wisconsin and about the early advocates instrumental in their development––including in the founding of local libraries such as Mead. The talk will also provide a snapshot of the vital role libraries play in Wisconsin today––in college campuses, corporations, rural villages, urban areas, and more––and will turn to examine the changing face of libraries in Wisconsin looking forward into the future.
