Amanda Ngoho Reavey

Amanda Ngoho Reavey is a Philippine-born, Wisconsin-raised poet and author of Marilyn, a poetry memoir about transnational adoption, travel, and identity, winner of the Best Book Award in Creative Writing: Poetry from the Association for Asian American Studies. Reavey earned an MFA in Writing & Poetics from Naropa University in 2014. Her poems and essays appear in Construction Literary Magazine, Anthropoid, TRUCK, and Evening Will Come, among others. Currently she is a Poetry Fellow for Black Earth Institute, co-editor of About Place, and she lives in Milwaukee where she is a pursuing a PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Creative Writing-Poetry with a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies.
