Bob Smail is a Wisconsin native, born and raised in West Allis. He obtained a B.A. in History from Carroll College in 1995 and a M.S. in Natural Resource Policy and Law at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2007. His past work includes research on off road vehicle users, farmer adoption of new management practices and the role of networks in resource management. He has been a Water Supply Specialist at DNR since 2011 and works implementing and analyzing DNR’s water withdrawal inventory and reporting program. He is an avid fisherman, golfer and brewer of beer. He lives in Watertown with his, wife, two young daughters and dog.
