Danielle Nabak is a Healthy Communities Coordinator for the FoodWIse program of UW-Extension in Milwaukee County. Her work experience includes positions related to community development, social determinants of health, and nutrition. Her current position supports healthy people and healthy places through policy, systems, and environment change. Nabak’s work and outreach is focused in the school-based setting, which includes both in-school and out of school time with students, school staff, parents, and community members. She approaches her work through asset-based principles – adding capacity to momentum, partnerships, and programs that already exist in Milwaukee communities. Nabak has a degree in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and is a Registered Dietitian.
