Do you love comics? We all have stories to tell: from fiction to fantasy to autobiography and beyond. Have you ever wanted to tell stories with words and pictures? Here’s your chance to learn from a pro and rekindle your excitement and enthusiasm for creative expression. Join Jeff Butler for a lively introduction to the craft of visual storytelling. We’ll explore basic tools and techniques of the cartoonist, including page design, shot types, staging, and lettering, while developing our own “visual voice” by creating short comic stories.

The course will demystify the process of making comics and inspire participants to continue creating their own visual stories long after the class is over. Some work outside of class will be encouraged.
