The Wisconsin Academy is pleased to support Celebrate Water Door County and the 2019 Water Summit. Join us for a three-day summit that features educational sessions, a luncheon with Dan Egan, author of The Death and Life of the Great Lakes, and a breakfast with Door County Community Foundation CEO & President Bret Bicoy. The summit kicks off with a keynote presentation by Jill Heinerth, Royal Canadian Geographical Society Explorer in Residence, held at the Door Community Auditorium.
The June 4 keynote presentation with Jill Heinerth is free and open to the public, and general summit registration is $35 and includes three meals and your choice of 6 of 12 educational sessions. Field trips are optional and presented for $20, which includes transportation. Included in the summit activities is a Science Poster Project that gives high school or college students an opportunity to present a project among their peers and professionals.
Academy friends and members are invited to attend the 2019 Water Summit. Participants can reserve a room at The Landmark during the 2019 Water Summit by calling 1-800-273-7877. Request a room in the Celebrate Water block. Reservations are needed by April 20, 2019.
The summit is sponsored by Healthy Water Door County, a fund of the Door County Community Foundation, The Enroth Fund of The Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Peninsula Pulse, Edgewood Orchard Galleries, and the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters, with support from Door County Coffee and Tea and Skyway Drive-In.
