The James Watrous Gallery will be closed until Overture Center for the Arts can re-open. In the meantime, follow us on Instagram and Facebook; we'll be showcasing some the artists whose shows have been rescheduled due to the pandemic, as well as some of the artists who've shown with us over the years. We'll try to keep these accounts lively with some surprises as well.
And because our Collections and Connections: 150 Years of the Wisconsin Academy exhibition closed early, we created a 12-minute video (see below) to capture the first half of the exhibit: an imaginative recreation of the lost natural history collections, or “cabinet,” which were collected in the 19th century by several of the Academy’s founders.
We hope to be with you in the gallery again soon! Until we can, here are other ways to connect online with the James Watrous Gallery.
