Science and the American Experiment

Registration is closed for this event

Science and the American Experiment: an exploration of research, policy, and communication is a day-long conference focusing on the shifting cultural expectations regarding science as a transformative force in society.  As a special event within the Wisconsin Academy’s year-long examination of the American Dream in Wisconsin, panels and presentations will explore the opportunities created by science in Wisconsin, the public benefits from public investment in science, and the challenges of communicating about science to public audiences in these times of polarization and “post-truth” media culture.
