Cathryn Cofell is a previous Wisconsin People & Ideas Poetry Contest winner and a former member of the Wisconsin Academy board of directors. She is currently Appleton’s first poet laureate (2024-2026), co-coordinator of the Poetry Unlocked reading series, and immediate Past President of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets.
