
John Mulvihill grew up in central Iowa but has lived in Wisconsin for the past twenty-six years. He has a BA from Grinnell College and a PhD from the University of Iowa. He is recently retired from UW-Madison, where he taught composition for eight and a half years. He previously taught literature and writing at the University of Iowa, Drake University, and UW-Milwaukee. He lives in New Glarus with his wife Kathryn and daughter Vivienne and spends his retirement reading and writing more, getting more exercise, and daydreaming of travel.
