Todd Cambio is a musician and guitar builder. His company, Fraulini Guitars, is dedicated to providing responsive and reliable instruments to traditional musicians. He has studied early American recording pioneers, the instruments they played, and the people who made them. He has written a book about his work and research titled Can You Dig It? A Luthier’s Search for the Lost History of the American Guitar, forthcoming from the University of Texas Press in 2026. He is an avid gardener; seed saver; wine, cider, and sausage maker; and a lifelong outdoorsman who lives in Madison with his wife and three sons.
