Jill Stukenberg is a graduate of Marquette University and the MFA program at New Mexico State University. Originally from Sturgeon Bay, Stukenberg returned to Wisconsin from New Mexico in 2010, and starting in August 2012 she will be an assistant professor of English (Creative Writing) at University of Wisconsin–Marathon County. Stukenberg also coordinates 1,000 Words Wausau, a challenge and showcase for community wordsmiths. Her recent work appears in Penduline Press, Prime Mincer, and (forthcoming) The Florida Review.
