Joseph Heim is emeritus professor of Political Science/Public Administration at UW-La Crosse and is Director of the Public Administration Program at the University. Dr. Heim received his BA and MS degrees from Marquette University and his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Joe is a political analyst for WKBT (La Crosse)-TV and occasional guest analyst on WPR. He served in US Navy from 1964-66, and was a Naval Reserve Officer from 1966-1984. He has served three terms on the UW-La Crosse faculty senate, including two terms as senate chair. He is a member of the Board of Directors for a number of local and regional organization including the American Red Cross, The Chileda Institute, UW-La Crosse Foundation and Riverfront (La Crosse). Joe is a Governor’s appointee to the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board (2003-present). He also serves as a member of the Wisconsin Judicial Campaign Integrity Committee (a State Bar committee) and a member of a number of professional associations including the American Society of Public Administration, and the Wisconsin Political Science Association.
