Lisie Kitchel is a Conservation Biologist in the Bureau of Natural Heritage Conservation within the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. She is trained as an Aquatic Ecologist and specializes in Wisconsin's native mussels. She spends most her time studying and surveying them throughout our lakes, rivers, and streams. Kitchel enjoys ‘enlightening' folks as to the world of the freshwater mussel.
