Mary McPhetridge has served as the Executive Director of the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce since 1999. Prior, Mary taught various classes at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC) in Hospitality Management for both WITC students and a high school internship program via fiber optics for the Cooperative Educational Service Agency (C.E.S.A. #12). McPhetridge and her husband Jim owned and operated two floral shops; one in Ashland and one in Washburn from 1995 until 2002.
Before moving to Ashland, McPhetridge was the Executive Rooms Director at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club in Madison for nearly ten years. She was responsible for the profit and loss of the Rooms Department which equates to nearly 12 departments in the front and back of the house.
McPhetridge has a strong leadership background working in the sales & marketing department of a generic pharmaceutical company in Rockford, Illinois; then owning her own independent pharmaceutical sales company prior to moving to Wisconsin into the position at the Madison Concourse hotel.
McPhetridge is married to Jim McPhetridge and mother to Kate (29) and Andrew (28). Her favorite moments are spending time with her family and friends, her big dogs, all sports, reading, boating, and selling Ashland and the Chequamegon Bay!
