Nivedita (Nita) Sharma, is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison, where she studied biology and psychology and pursued certificates in gender and women's studies and global health. Currently she works as student faculty assistant through the UW Department of Psychology and as editorial assistant at Wisconsin People & Ideas magazine. Nita also enjoys writing and theatre, and has contributed poetry to the Brown Girl Lifted Zine, and written and performed original monologues for Yoni Ki Baat: Intersectional Stories from Women of Color. In the future, she hopes to continue with her passion for writing, as well as pursue a career in healthcare, focusing specifically on areas such as women's health and mental health.
