Timothy Gerritsen is a semi-retired video game executive born and raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and now living in DeForest. For the past 34 years, Timothy has been a part of the global video games industry, having designed, produced and led teams all around the globe in all aspects of video game creation. Video Games are a multi-disciplinary blend of art, science, audio and writing that Timothy has had the distinct privilege of being able to bring into existence over his long career. Among the games he has crafted are titles such as BioShock Infinite, Prey, Rune, MechWarrior, the WWE 2k sports franchise to name just a few of his over 50 video game credits. Some of these games were major hits for the mainstream market, while others were smaller art focused games for niche markets. Beyond his development experience in Wisconsin, he has led teams in Oregon, Chicago, Boston, New Mexico, Australia, China and Europe. He was one of the core founders and leaders of the Wisconsin Games Alliance, a volunteer organization that promotes games development here in Wisconsin, as well as the founder of MDev, the professional game developer conference held annually in Madison. He was a co-founder of Human Head Studios, Fantasy Flight Interactive, and a partner and executive at Lost Boys Interactive, all studios here in the Badger State. He is on numerous school advisory boards and does guest lectures on video game topics around the globe.
