Janke Book Store has been a fixture of downtown Wausau for generations. Erected in 1874 by Richard J.
LaDeDa Books & Beans is nestled on a quiet residential street a few steps from Citizen’s Park in Manitowoc.
While independent bookshops are shuttering all over the country, the bookstore at 315 West Gorham Street in Madison has kept its doors open for over 21 years. However, during this time the bookstore has gone by a few different names.
When Arcadia Books opened its doors in downtown Spring Green this past May, owner James Bohnen found himself realizing the dream he’s had since his twenties.
