Chrissy Widmayer

Chrissy Widmayer is the historical communications specialist at the Wisconsin Academy through the UW-Madison's Center for Humanities' Mellon Public Humanities Fellowship, Chrissy is also a PhD candidate in Folklore Studies. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from George Mason university, and an MA in Folklore from UW-Madison. Her academic research explores how food traditions and storytelling creates intimacy in small groups, especially within her own family. She is excited to share her humanities expertise in helping to share the Academy's lauded history over the past 150 years.
