Poetry and Pi(e) is an annual tradition that blends spoken word and the simple joy of pie to help bridge divides. Join the Wisconsin Academy in Partnership with the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild, and the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library for Poetry & Pi(e) 2026. Join us for this incredible opportunity to hear readings by local Eau Claire poet Meghan Bennett, renowned poet and Academy Fellow Max Garland, and outgoing Wausau Poet Laureate Tiffany Rodriguez-Lee.

This innovative, interactive format is designed to foster cross-community dialogue and challenge stereotypes by sharing diverse personal perspectives on what it means to “find home” in Wisconsin. The event will include poetry readings, community conversations—and of course, pie. By lifting up creativity and connection, this event helps Wisconsinites see themselves in one another’s stories.
