Poetry & Pi(e) 2023

Tuesday, March 14, 2023 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

On Tuesday, March 14, 2023 poetry fans joined us in the Promenade Lounge at Overture Center for the Arts for a rare opportunity to hear readings from the incoming and outgoing Wisconsin Poets Laureate, while enjoying scrumptious pie on Pi Day. The hybrid event provided a chance to be among the first to hear readings by Wisconsin’s new poet laureate, the heralded Nicholas Gulig. Nicholas was joined by departing poet laureate, the powerful Dasha Kelly Hamilton. This Academy event was held in partnership with the Poet Laureate Commission and with support from Hubbard Avenue Diner.
