The Promise of the Wisconsin Idea

2015 Wisconsin Academy Member Meeting

Join us and Academy members for a gathering of friendship, learning, and exploration of The Promise of the Wisconsin Idea -- spread across two days in and around the UW-Madison campus with the Pyle Center as our home base.

Friday, November 6 & Saturday, November 7, 2015
Pyle Center/UW-Madison Campus
702 Langdon Street
Madison, WI 53706

With our 150th Anniversary fast approaching in 2020, the Wisconsin Academy is considering the past, present, and future of the Wisconsin Idea. As stated in the Academy’s constitution, our version of the Wisconsin Idea is and always has been about “gathering, sharing, and acting upon knowledge in sciences, arts, and letters for the betterment of the people of Wisconsin.” This weekend of cross-disciplinary exploration will help all of us gather, share, and act to sustain culture and knowledge in our state.

In this time of great change for our state, it is important for those who value the sciences, arts, and letters to come together!

When you register, you will select one (1) field trip and one (1) workshop you would like to participate in on Saturday. The cost of your registration includes all the activities and meals listed on the schedule of events (excluding the optional Saturday evening performance of Silent Sky at Forward Theater.)

We are excited to spend the weekend hearing and learning from our Academy Fellows, Members, friends, and one another.
