My journey began in 2014 at the Wormfarm Institute, a working farm and hub for regenerative cultural practice in Sauk County, where I was an artist-in-residence. Since then, I have returned many times to get my hands in the dirt and my feet moving across the land.

There was no way of knowing what a great success the James Watrous Gallery in Overture Center for the Arts would be when its doors opened on Sunday, September 19, in 2004.

My love of drawing and illustration is what got me into graphic design in the first place, and comics were a big part of that.

Your newest collection of prose poems references the classics—classic video games, that is.

In addition to being a poet and a playwright, you are also a Civil Rights activist. How do your ideas from one realm influence another?

Editor and publisher of the critically acclaimed Graphic Classics®, a series of illustrated comic adaptations of classic literature, Tom Pomplun was born and raised in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
